After two weeks of bathing, it was time for the change of the surroundings. 1600 meters of difference in hight and silence. I’ve decided to spend a few days in the mountains and „charge“ my batteries the only way you can when you are surrounded by nature. The National park Middle Velebit is the right place for it.
The weather was ideal for taking pictures. Sunny with a cloud or two and without much mist. My primary intention was to walk through the Premuži? path, so the shooting was, in this case, a secondary thing. But as usual, that was just a wish.
The big problem is that when you’re in an environment like that, the motives are just appearing in a row, one after the other. When I wish to put my camera down, there’s an entirely new view, and everything starts from the beginning.
The sunset was the goal, considering it was the only time that I could still use for taking pictures with just a little bit of the „atmosphere“. But to do that one should climb on the highest peak in the area – Buljma. I took several shots, before the sunset, then I hit the sack in the climbers’ lodging Alan. Tomorrow, rise and shine at 5 am.
The next day, the morning promises a good light for shooting. At 5:20 am, I’m already at Buljma, observing the fog that drags along the valley. I’ve made several shots and waited for the first sunbeams. The colors are truly those of the morning, and you can see the fog and the sun exchange in the valley.
I stayed there till 10 o’clock when the sky became overcast with rare but unattractive clouds. Too thin to shoot but too dense for a good photo shot. After a few hours of the obvious – skies not clearing up, I headed back to the sea.
Two days – a lot of peace – several photo shots – all in all, OK!
